An iron nail is dipped in the solution of copper sulphate for about 30 minture, state the change in colour observed. Give the reason for the change.

Iron is more reactive than Cu. So it displace Cu from copper sulphate solution. Thus, blue colour of the `CuSO_(4)` solution fades and colour of the solution turns green due to the formation of ferrous sulphate Solution. This is adisplacement reaction.
