Determine the AP whose third term is 16 and the 7th term exceeds the 5th term by 12.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let the A.P be -`a,a+d,a+2d........`
given `a+2d=16`.....(1)
also`a_7=a_5+12=>a+6d=a+4d+12`
thus `d=6`
using in (1).......
`a=4`
Thus the A.P is-`4,10,16,22,28,34,40........`
