The equation of the lines through ((1,1)...

The equation of the lines through ((1,1) and making angles of `45^(@)` with the line x+y=0 are

A

x-1=0,x-y=0

B

x-y=0,y-1=0

C

x+y-2=0,y-1=0

D

x-1=0,y-1=0

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

Let m be the slope of required line.
`therefore|(m-(-1))/(1+m(-1))|=1`
`implies(m+1)/(1-m)=+-1`
`impliesm+1=1-m`
or `m+1=-1+m`
`impliesm=0` or `m=oo`
So, equation of line through (1,1) is y-1=0 and x-1=0.
