Let the numbers be a and b
` :. sqrt(ab) = 10 rArr ab = 100 " "` …(i)
and ` (2ab)/(a+b) = 8 rArr 200/(a+b) = 8 rArr a+b = 25 " "` …(ii)
On solving Eqs. (i) and (ii) , we get
a=5,b=20
