Fid the differential equation of all the parabolas with latus rectum `'4a '` and whose axes are parallel to x-axis.

A

one

B

four

C

three

D

two

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

Equation of all parabola, whose axiis is parallel to X-axis and have latusrectum 4a, is `(y-K)^(2)=4a(x-h)^(2)` here, we have two effective constant, K and h. so, we have to differentiate it twice. Hence, order of differential equation is 2.
