The equation of the parabola whose axis is parallel to X-axis and 4a is its latus rectum is
` (y-k^(2)) =4a(x-h)`
Where h and k are arbitrary constants .

Differentiating equation (1) ,w.r.t x, we get , ltbr `2 (y-k) (dy)/(dx) =4a(1-0)`
` (y -k)(dy)/(dx) =2a`
