Henry's law : It states that the solubility of a gas in a liquid at constant temperature is proportional to the pressure of the gas above the solution. (1) If S is the solubility of a gas in mol `dm^(- 3)` at a pressure p and constant temperature then Henry's law, `S prop P` or `S = K xx P` where K is called Henry's law constant. (2) If P=l atm, then S=K. (3) If several gases are present, then the solubility of any gas in the mixture is proportional to its partial pressure at given temperature.
