How is Benzonitrile converted to Benzophenone?

Benzonitrile reacts with phenyl magnesium bromide in presence of dry ether to give an imine complex which on acid hydrolysis gives a benzophenone. During reaction benzonitrile and phenyl magnesium bromide should be taken in equimolecular proportion.
