Explanation

1 Hypothalumus has many masses of grey matter called hypthalamic nuclei secrete neurohormones which influence pituitary gland by either stimulating it or inhibiting it
2 It is the main homeostasis regulationg centre
3 Many involuntary function such as hunger thirst thermoregulatoin , fear anger sleep and sexual desire etc are under the control of hypothalamus
4 Hypothalamus acts as a coordinator between nerveous system and endocrine system
