(1)Kinefelter's sundrome is a genetic disorder caused due to trisomy of X chromosome.(2)It was first desvribed by harry klinefelter.(3)Klinefelter's syndrome is caused due to nonadjunction of sex chromosomes which takes place during gamete formation.(4)Chromosomal compement of klinefelter's syndrome is 44+XXY,having a total of 47 chromosomes.(5)Symptoms of klinefelter's syndrom are as follows:(i)The klinefelter's syndrome individuals are tall,thin and eunuchoid.(ii)They are sterile nwith poorly developed sexual characteristics(iii)Testes are underdeveloped and small.Spermatogenesis does not take place.(iv)They have subnormal intelligence and show partial mental retardation.
