Given (1) The mass of the planet (M) is eight times the mass of the earth , i.e, ` 8 xx 6 xx 10^(24) ` kg. (2) The radius of the plant (R ) twice the radius of the earth i.e, ` 2 xx 6.4 xx 10^(6)` km. (3) G ` = 6.67 xx 10^(-11) N.M^(2) // kg^(2)`
Escape velocity for that planet ` v_(ese) = sqrt((2GM)/R)`
= `sqrt((2xx 6.67 xx 10^(-11)N.m^(2)kg^(2)xx8xx6xx10^(24)kg)/(2xx 6.4 xx 10^(6)m))`
` sqrt((20.01)/4) xx 10^(4) m =s = 2.237 xx 10^(4) m//s = 22.37 km//s`
