The current through a wire depends on time as
`I = i_(0) + alphat`,
where `i_(0)=10 A and alpha=4 As^(-1)`.Find the charge crossed through a section of the wire in 10 second

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`i = i_0 + at, t = 10 sec,
` i_0 = 10A , alpha= 4/sec.`
` So, q= (int_(0)^t) idt = (int_(0)^t)(i_0 + at) dt `
` =(int_(0)^t)i_0 dt + (int_(0)^t) atdt `
` = i_0t = at^2/2 `
` = 10 xx 10+ 4 xx (10 xx 10 /2)`
= 100 +200 = 300C.
