Find the current through the resistance ...

Find the current through the resistance R in figure.If (a)`R=12 Omega`(b)`R=48 Omega`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(a) When `R = 12 Omega`
the wire SF becomes ineffective due to the net `(-)ve voltage`,
Hence, current through `R`
`= (10)/(24) = 0.4166 = 0.42A`
`(b) Similarly for `R = 48 Omega`
`i = (10)/(48+12) = (10)/(60) = 0.16A`
