Let A and B be the events
`=P(A cap overset(_)B)+P(B cap overset(_)A)`
`=P(A)-(A cap B)+P(B)=P(A cap B)`
`=P(A)+P(B)-2P(A cap B)`
`=0.05-01-2(0.02)`
`=0.15-0.04=0.11`
Hence the probability that only one of them will qualify the examination is 0.11
