There is no change in the energy of a charged particle moving in a magnetic field although a magnetic force is acting on it .

NOTE: The magnetic force acts in a direction perpendicular to the direction of velocity and hence it cannot change the speed of the charged particle.
Therefore , the kinetic energy `( = 1/2 mv^(2))` does not change .
