How is ethyl amine prepared from methyl iodide ?

The preparation of athey amine from methyl iodide is done in two steps :
Step 1 : Methyl iodide when react with potassium cyanide forms Acetonitrile.

Step 2 : In the second step, acetonitrile further reacs with hydrogen to form ethyl amine in presence of (Na) sodium and ethyl alcohol.
