(i) Charles Darwin gave the theory of organic evolution by natural selection. According to him organisms which are not fit to survive in unfavourable conditions, slowly perish. Organisms that adopt themselves according to various changes are viable for existence. This explains theory of natural selection or survival of fittest.
Example: Giraffe with long neck existed as they were ableto feed themselves from taller trees.
