The correct Answer is:
A, B, C, D

(a) `p_(A)-1/2 rho v^(2)+rho gh=p_(D)`
But, `p_(A)=p_(D)=p_(0)`
`:. 1/2rho v^(2)=rho gh`
`v=sqrt(2gh)`
Here, `h=(4+1)=5m`
`:.v=sqrt(2xx9.8xx5)=9.9m//s`
(b) Applying Bernoulli's equation at A and B,
`p_(A)+0+0=p_(B)+1/2rho v^(2)+rho g(1.5)`
or , `p_(0)=p_(B)+1/2rho v^(2)+1.5 g`
`:. p_(B)=1.01xx10^(5)-1/2xx900xx(9.9)^(2)`
`-1.5xx900xx9.8`
`=4.36xx10^(4)Pa`
(c ) Applying Bernoulli's equation at A and C,
`p_(0)=p_(c)+1/2 rho v^(2)-rho g(1.0)`
`:. p_(C)=p_(0)+ rho g-1/2 rho v^(2)`
`=1.01xx10^(5)+900xx9.8-1/2xx900xx(9.9)^(2)`
`=6.6xx10^(4) Pa`.
