Electric field inside a conductor is always zero. Is this statement true of false?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

False. Under electrostatic conditions when there is no charge flow (or no current) in the conductor, electric field is zero. If current is non zero, then electric fied also non zero. Because the drift motion (of free electrics) which produces a net current start only due to electric force on them.
