Assertion : In series `L-C-R` circuit, if a ferromagnetic rod is inserted inside an inductor, incr current in the circuit may ease or decrease.
Reason : By doing so `X_L` will increase.

A

If both Assertion and Reason are true and the Reason is correct explanation of the Assertion.

B

If both Assertion and Reason are true but Reason is not the correct explanation of Assertion

C

If Assertion is true, but the Reason is false.

D

If Assertion is false but the Reason is true.

The correct Answer is:
A, B

`Z=sqrt(R^2+(X_C-X_L)^2)`
`X_L` will increase. So `Z` may increase or decrease depending on the value of `X_C` therefore, current may decrese or increase.
