What is the difference between a colloidal solution, gel, and emulsion?

In a colloidal sol, the dispersed phase is a solid and the dispersion medium is a liuqid. In a gel, it is just the opposite. In an emulsion, both the dispersed phase and dispersion medium are liquids.
