Give one example each of `(a)alpha-`emission, `(b)beta^(c-)-` emission, and `(c)K-` capture. Write an equation for these nuclear changes.

`a.` `alpha=` emission : `._(88)Ra^(236)rarr` `underset((alpha-Particl e))(._(86)Rn^(232)+ ._(2)He^(4))`
`b.` `beta-` emission : `._(88)Ra^(238)rarr` `underset((beta-"Particl e"))(._(89)Ac^(228)+` `._(-1)e^(0))`
`c.` In some nuclides, the nucleus may capture an electron from the `K-` shell . The vacancy created is filled by electrons from higher levels giving rise to characteristic `X-` rays. This process is known as `K-` capture . An example of `K-` capture is
`._(56)Ba^(133)+e^(-)rarr ` `._(55)Cs^(1333)+X-` ray
The change in the nucleus is represented by `p^(+)+e^(-) rarr n`. The neutron produced remains in the nucleus and the atomic number decreases by one unit as a result of `K- ` capture.
