The correct Answer is:

We know that the man can hear the frequencies upto
20, 000 Hz
The frequency of closed pipe, `v = n (v/(4l))`
Where `n in` odd numbers
`v = n xx` fundamental frequency
`therefore 20000=nxx 1500 rArr n approx13`
Hence, maximum possible harmonices obtained are,
`=1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13`
Thus, the man can hear upto 13th harmonic `= 7 - 1=6`
So, number of overtones heard =6
