The susceptibility of a magnetism at 300...

The susceptibility of a magnetism at 300 K is ` 1.4 xx 10^(-5)`. The material is heated and at a particular temperature is susceptibility increased to ` 2. 1 xx 10^(-5)` . What is the change in temperature of the material ?

A

200K

B

300K

C

400K

D

100K

The correct Answer is:
D

As per Curie law , `chi=(C)/(T)`
` :. (chi_(2))/(chi_(2))=(T_(1))/(T_(2))`
Given , susceptibility , ` chi_(1)=1.4 xx 10^(-5) `,
temperature `T_(1)=300K` ,
Susceptibility , `chi_(2)=2.1 xx 10^(-5)` , temperature ` T_(2)=?`
`implies (2.1 xx 10^(-5))/( 1.4 xx 10^(-5))=(300)/(T_(2))`
`implies (3)/(2) =(300)/(T_(2))`
`or T_(2)=(600)/(3)=200K`
`:.` Change in temperature ` =T_(1)-T_(2)=300-200=100K`
