Grignard reagent (RMgX) reacts with only those compounds which contains acidic hydrogen or which contains carbonyl group. Dimethyl ether `(CH_(3)OCH_(3))` due to absence of both acidic hydrogen and carbonyl group does not react with Grignard reagent.
