Let ` l = int _(-2)^(4) | x+1| dx = int _(-2)^(-1) - (x+1) dx + int _(-1)^(4) (1+x) dx `
` = - [ (x^(2))/2 + x]_(-2)^(-1) + [ x + (x^(2))/2]_(-1)^(4)`
` = - [ 1/2 -1-(2-2)]+[4+8 -(-1+1/2)]`
` = 1/2 + (25/2) = 13`
