How do rou expect the density of transition elements to vary in a given series and why?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In a given series the density of transition elements increases. Eg. : From Titanium to copper there is a significant increase in the density.
`rarr` This is due to decrease in metallic radius coupled with increase in atomic mass.
