The carbohydrate which is stored in animal body is called glycogen . It is also known as animal starch. Starch is a polysaccharide which is stored in plants where as glycogen in stored in animals (liver, muscles and brain).
`to` Glycogen mainly resembles amylopectin of starch in structure but glycogen is more branched than amylopectin .
