Nucleosides : Nucleic acid bases combine with pentose sugars to form N-glycosides known as nucleosides
Eg: Cytidine

Nucleotides : Nucleotides is a phosphate ester of nucleoside and consists of a purine of pyrimidine base. nucleotide contains a base moiety , a sugar moiety (i.e.,) a nucleoside moiety group and phosphate group.
Nucleotide = base (purine / pyrimidine) + sugar (ribose/deoxyribose) + phosphate
Ex : Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP)
