What are analgesics?How are they classified?

Analgesics:These are to reduce or totally abolish pain causing impairment of consiciousness,mental confusion ,Incoordination,paralysis,disturbances of nervous system etc.Analgesics are classified as
i)Narcotic analgesics:These are most potent and clinically useful agents causing depression of central nervous system and at the same time act as strong analygesics.
E.g:Morphine,Codeine etc.
ii)Non-narcotic analgesics:These drugs are analgesics but they have no addictive properties.Their analgenis use is limited to mild aches and pains
E.g:Aspirin,Ibuprofen etc.
