Why are household applicance connected in parallel?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In parallel, the voltage (V) across each applicance is same. The current (I) through them depends upon the power (P) of the applicane. The higer power applicance draws more current and lower power applicance draws less current.
`(:' P = VI "or" I prop P)`
