Find the and minimum wavelength of X-...

Find the and
minimum wavelength of X-rays produced by 30 kV electrons .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given voltage `V = 30 kV = 30xx10^(3)V, e = 1.6xx10^(-19) C, h = 6.63xx10^(-34)j-s`
`C = 3xx10^(8)m//s`
Minimum wavelength of X-ray, `lambda = (C )/(v)=(3xx10^(8))/(7.24xx10^(18))=0.414xx10^(-10)m`
`therefore lambda = 0.0414xx10^(-9)m=0.044nm`.
