What is the magnitude of magnetic field ...

What is the magnitude of magnetic field at the centre O of loop of radius `(sqrt2) m` made of uniform wire when a current of 1 A enters in the loop and is taken out of it by two long wires as shown in Fig.

A

`(mu_(0))/(pi)[1-(1)/(sqrt(2))]T`

B

`(mu_(0))/(sqrt(2)pi)[1-(1)/(sqrt(2))]T`

C

zero

D

None of these

The correct Answer is:
C

Since length NWP is 3 times that of NQP, so resitance of NWP is 3 times that of NQP.

Hence `(I_1)/(i_2)=1/3`
Net field due to `I_(1)` and `(I_2)` at centre O will be zero. Field at O due to MN will be same as that due to PQ, but in opposite direction, so net field at centre will be zero.
