i. Boat conformation, like chair, has no angle strain but it has eclipsing strain from the two pairs of H atoms on each set of gunwale C atoms.
ii. There is also transannular strain from the crowing of 'flagpole' H atoms on `C^(1)` and `C^(4)` , which point towards each other and tend to occupy the same space.
