During winter season, a white trail at the back of a flying plane is observed in a clear sky. Explain.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

1.During winter season, as the plane flies, the vapour released by the aeroplane's engine condenses and fonns clouds.
2. If the surrounding air is having more relative humidity, it takes a long time for the white trail formed by condensation of the vapour to disappear.
3. Hence, a white trail at the back of a flying plane is observed in a clear sky.
