An object is placed at a distance of 20 cm in front of a convex mirror of radius of curvature 30 cm. Find the position and nature of the image.

Here, object distance, `u= - 20 cm`, radius of curvature, `R=30 cm`, image distnace, `v=?`
As `(1)/(v)+1/u=(1)/(f)=2/R, (1)/(v)=2/R-1/u or (1)/(v)=2/30+1/20=(4+3)/(60)=7/60` or `v=60/7=8.57` cm
As v is positive, image is at the back of the mirror.
It must be virtual and erect.
