The unit of length convenint on the atomic scales is known as an angstrom and is denoted by `Å : 1 Å = 10^(-10)m`. The size of a hydrogen atom is about `0.5 Å` What is the totall atomic volume in `m^3` of a mole of hydrogen atoms?

Here, `r = 0.5 Å = 0.5xx10^(-10)m`
Volume of each atom of hydrogen ` = (4)/(3)pi r^3 = (4)/(3)xx3.14(0.5xx10^(-10))^3 = 5.236 xx10^(-31)m^3`
Number of hydrogen atoms in one gram mole of hydrogen= Avogadro's number = `6.023 xx10^(23)`
:. Atomic voluem of one gram mole of hydrogen atom =`5.236 xx 10^(-31)xx6.023 xx 10^(23) = 3.154 xx 10^(23) = 3.154xx10^(-7) m^3`
