Two railway trailway trachs are parallel to west-east direction. Along one track, train (A) moves with a speed of `30 ms^(-1)` from west to east, wile along the second track, train (B) moves with a speed of `48 ms^(-1)` Form east to west. Calculate
(i) relative speed of `B w.r.t. (A) and (ii) relative speed of ground w.r.t. (B).

Let the motion fromwest to east be taken positive. Here, `vec v_(A) =30 ms^(-1) (west to east )
and `vec v_(B) =- 48 ms^(-1) (west to east0`.
(i) The relative velcity of the train (B) w.r.t.(A) will
`vec _BA) =vec v_(B) -vec v_(A) [(west to east )`
`=- 78 ms^(-1)` (east to west )
(ii) Let `vec v_(G)` be the velocity ground. As ground is at rest, so `vec v_(G) =0`, The relative velocity of ground `w.r.t.B` is `
vec v_(GB) = vec v_(B) =0 -(-48) (west to east )
`=48 ms^(-1)` (west to east )`
It means ground will appear to move from west to east with a speed of `48 ms^(-1)` w. r. t. B` .
