What is the efferct on the magniude of the resultant of two vectors when the anle `theta` between them is increased from `0^(@) to 180^(@)` ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let `theta` be the angle between two vectors ` vec A and vec B`. The magnitude of thir resultant is given by ` R =sqrt(A^(2) + B^(2) + 2 AB cos theta)`.
If the value of ` theta` decreases. So the value of (R ) also decreases. Therefore, when anle between two vectors in increased from ` 0^(@) to 180^(2)`, the value of resultant (R ) dereases from (A + B) to (A -B).
