When two bodies movie uniformly towards ...

When two bodies movie uniformly towards each other, the distance between then decreases by ` 6metres // second` . If both the bodies move in the same direction with their same speed, the distance between them increases by 4 metres / second . What are the speeds of the two bodies.

Let (u) and (v) be the velocities of two bodies. As per question, u + v=6`
and ` u-v =4 or 2 u =10`
On solving we get
` u= 5 m//s and ` v= 1 m//s`.
