A hydrogen bomb is more powerful than an atom bomb. Why?

A hydrogen bomb based on nuclear fusion is more powerful than an atom bomb based on nuclear fission. This is bacause, energy released per unit mass of the fuel is much larger in nuclear fusion than in nuclear fission.
