Space Missions to Mars and other planets

Explanation

The second nearest astronomical object to the earth is the Mars , moom being the first .
(b) Many nations sent spacecrafts to the Mars . However , the Mars mission being very difficult , half of the missions were unsuccessful .
(c) One of the successful missions is the spacecraft 'Mangalyaan ' made by ISRO . This spacecraft was launched in November , 2013 and placed into orbit around the Mars in September, 2014 . It obtained very useful infomation about the surface and the atomation about the surface and the atmosphere of the mars.
(d) Along with Mars , many spacecrafts were sent to other planets as well as asteroids and comets also . Some have orbited the planet, some have landed while some have just passed near the planet and observed them . These specerafts have also collected some dust and stones from the asteroids and brought them back on the earth.
