The following frequency distribution table shows the amount of aid given to 50 flood affected families.Find the mean of the amount of aid.

The correct Answer is:
The mean of amount of aid is Rs. `72,400`.

Let us find the mean by'Direct Method ' .

Mean `barX = (Sigmax_(i)f_(i))/N = (3620)/50 = 72.4` (Thousand)
`barX = 72.4 xx 1000 = 72400`
