In the circuit shown in figure potential difference between point `A` and `B` is `16 V`. Find the current passing through `2 Omega` resistance.

A

`1.5 A`

B

`3.5 A`

C

`1.0 A`

D

`2.5 A`

The correct Answer is:
B

(b) By applying `K. V.L`
`V_(A) - 4I - 9 - I_(1) - 3 - 4 I = V_(B)`
`16 = +8I + I_(1) + 12`
`8 I + I_(1) = 4 V`
By applying `K. V.L.` in loop `A' B' C' D' A'`
`- 9 I_(1) + 2 (I - I_(2)) = 0`
`- 3 I_(1) + 2 I = 9`
By solving (i) and (ii) current in `2 Omega` resistance is `3.5 A`.
