Assertion : Insulators do no allow flow of current through them.
Reason: Insulators have no free charge carrier

A

If both assertion and reason are ture and reason is the correct explanation of assertion.

B

If both assertion and reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of assertion.

C

If assertion is true but reason is false.

D

If assertion and reason both are false.

The correct Answer is:
A

(a) Since current arises due to continuous flow of charged praticles. There is no free charge in insulator. Hence no flow of charges is possible. Therefore current do not flow through insulators.
