The Bohr model of atoms

A

assume that the angular momentum of electrons is quantized

B

uses Einstein's photoelectirc equation

C

predicts continuous emission spectra for atoms

D

perdicts the same emission spectra for all types of atoms

The correct Answer is:
A

According to Bohr's hypothesis, electron can revolve only in those orbits in which its angular momentum is an interal muliple of `(h)/(2pi')` where `h` being the Planck's constant. In these orbits, angular momentum of electron can have magnitude as `(h)/(2pi'), (2h)/(2pi'), (3h)/(2pi)..` etc, but never as `(1.5h)/(2pi'), (2.5h)/(2pi'), (3.5h)/(2pi)`, ......etc.
This is called the quantisation of angular momentum.
