Identify the portion of sun in the Fig. if the linear speed of the planet is greater at `C` compared to that at `D`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The linear speed of a planet revolving around a sun is greater if it is closer to the sun and smaller if it is closer to the sun and smaller if it is away from sun. So the sun should at position `B`. In this saiuation the linear speed of planet is greater at `C` compared to that at `D`.
