What will the effect on the temperature, if the number of small drops fo mercury coalesce adiabatically to form a single drop?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When large number of drops coalesce, the surface area will decrease. The energy will be liberated. Due to adiabatic conditions, its temperature will increase.
