A good heat reflector is a poor emitter,...

A good heat reflector is a poor emitter, why?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

A good heat reflector will reflect more heat radiations and will absorb less heat radiations. Therefore, they will emit less heat radiations when heated because a body emits those radiations which it can absorb when exposed by the radiations from a body at higher temrperature.
