These days people use steel utensils with copper bottom. This is supposed to be good for uniform heating of food. Explain this effect using the fact that copper is the batter conductor.

Text Solution

copper is a good conductor of heat an compared to steel. When we use a steel utensil with copper bottom for heating purpose, the copper part of utensil absorbs heat more quickly then the part, which inturen is passed on the food in utensil. As a result of it, the food in utensil is heated uniformly.
